My Clip 2 is not recognized by my computer

Using the provided USB cable, you can also connect your Clip 2 to your computer or laptop. Doing so will allow the Clip 2 to charge and (if your Clip 2 is connected to a surrounding Wi-Fi point) upload your photos and videos to the Narrative Service. You can download the Narrative Uploader from

If the Uploader is having difficulty detecting your Clip 2 please try these quick fixes.

  • 1.  Disconnect and reconnect your Clip. Wait 20 seconds.
  • 2. Restart your Uploader
  • 3. Uninstall and then reinstall your Uploader from
  • 4. Use a different USB cable
  • 5. Try it on a different network that is not blocked by any proxies or firewalls. 

If your Clip is still not recognized after the 5 quick fixes above, please try to discharge the camera's battery by placing it face up, with no cable attached, for six hours. Then try and connect it again.
