Setting up Wi-Fi with the Narrative Clip 2

You can connect your Narrative Clip 2 to Wi-Fi networks, so that your photos and videos upload to the Narrative Service while connected to a power source (such as a USB port, a wall plug, or a portable battery).

This means you can continue your adventures without the need of a computer. 

You'll be asked to set your Wi-Fi when setting your Clip 2 up for the first time, but if you'd like to change your Wi-Fi settings you can find more information below.

You will need to change your Wi-Fi settings whenever you wish to upload from a new location. So if you usually use your home Wi-Fi, but would like to upload from your work Wi-Fi instead, you will need to add it to your settings in the Smartphone App. Your Clip 2 will then remember those settings, so you can upload from either location in the future.

 

 

Changing your Wi-Fi Settings

To do this your Clip 2 will need to be connected to a power source, and you'll need to access the "My Clip" view in the Narrative Smartphone App.

 

 

On here you can check out your Clip 2's battery status and its remaining storage capacity. At the bottom of this screen, you'll find a section called "Wi-Fi" - where you can connect your Clip to a Wi-Fi connection.

 

Just tap on "Wi-Fi" and choose your internet connection. You'll then be prompted for the password, and once that's done you're good to go!

 

Using your Smartphone as a Hotspot

Providing that you've set your Smartphone up to be a hotspot, you can also connect your Clip 2 to your phone's 3G or 4G connection. Your Clip 2 will need to be connected to a power source to start uploading photos, and please be aware that the upload may use a lot of your phone's data.

Note: The Narrative Clip 2 might not upload when connected to Wi-Fi points that require you to create an account for access. This sometimes includes airport or hotel Wi-Fi.
