Narrative Care

How does video in Clip 2 work?

You can use the Narrative Clip 2 to shoot 720p and 1080p in full HD. By default, double-tapping the Clip 2 triggers a 10 second recording, and double-tapping it again stops it. The Narrative Clip 2 will shoot at 30 frames per second.

The video length can be set to 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 seconds. We also plan to release longer intervals in the future.

The Narrative Smartphone App will also act as a remote and allow you to adjust how long your Narrative Clip 2 records video for. You'll also be able to change the function of double-tapping your Clip to take a photo instead of shooting video.

If you have a Windows computer, and the Narrative Uploader installed, you can also set the Clip 2 to capture video on a triple-tap. We will be introducing this feature with the Mac Uploader, the iPhone, and on Android Smartphones in the near future as well.

Sharing both videos and photos are core to the Narrative experience, so you can share to the Narrative Community via the Explore feed, Facebook, Twitter, via public link, and more.

If you want to edit your video(s) you will need to use third-party software.

Storage capacity will depend on which video quality you decide to shoot in. The Clip 2 has an 8GB memory, which is estimated to hold around 80 minutes of 1080p HD video.

Don't forget to use #narrativeclip or #narrativeclip2 when sharing, as we love to see how you use the Narrative Clip!

    Hi Francis,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

You will be able to adjust how long the video takes footage for. We're currently pushing the Clips to its limits to see how long this will be, but more information will be posted on our blog and via our Community Forums when we can confirm this for you.

I'm sorry that I can't be more specific on this question, however I promise you that we are working our very hardest to bring you the best of what the Clip 2 can be! :)

    Have a great day!

Please expand this "The Narrative Smartphone App will also act as a remote". To me, it seems like clip 2 only has bluetooth active when charging so I can not connect to it via app while on the foot.

Certainly there is no "record" button in the app to trigger remote capturing - please clarify - i was expecting this feature.

Longer video time is a must, also the feature of remote triggering via smartphone. Otherwise it will turn a perceived great product useless..
